Off The Fence agrees joint working protocol with ru-ok?

Off The Fence is delighted to announce a joint working venture with Brighton and Hove based agency ru-ok?

ru-ok? is an under 19’s specialist substance misuse service. It offers a family and young person-friendly service, reducing the harm caused by alcohol and drug use. Placed in the Children’s Trust it is a multi agency, multi disciplinary team, with staff from social care, Connexions, YAC, Oasis and health. The workers are substance misuse specialists; the team consists of a generic worker, young woman’s worker, Connexions PA, housing worker, social worker, YOT worker and a CAMHS psychiatrist.

The team offers specialist consultation, advice and training to professionals and works with young people who have complex, long-term substance misuse problems.

Off The Fence Operations Manager Robert Lines said, 'I'm delighted that we have been able to agree this joint working protocol with the team from ru-ok?. Substance misuse is an issue that affects many of the young people we work with, and at Off The Fence we value enormously the professional support of ru-ok?.

Harvest Collections

At this time of year, Off The Fence welcomes Harvest offerings. If your school, church or organisation would like to collect and donate any items for us please take a look at our 'Gifts in kind' page. To help you, we've put a list there of the things that would be most helpful.

Our teams of volunteers go onto the streets of Brighton and Hove every week to help meet the immediate and basic needs of homeless people by distributing food, hot drinks, clothing and toiletries.

Your donations will go directly to those who need them most and can save lives.
