A MASSIVE Thank You to all our 2011 Brighton Marathon runners – £12,000 raised!

On the 10th April some 80,000 people turned out to watch 8,000 runners take part in the 2nd Brighton Marathon. The day dawned sunny and warm – great for the spectators & ice-cream sellers, but possibly not so brilliant for the runners! 13 of those taking part were running for Off The Fence, some of these were first time runners and some seasoned marathon veterans; all of them are hugely appreciated by all of us at Off The Fence. The runners were:

Rabinder Bradley, Martin Still, Shawn Timmons, Dan Middleton, Chris Blain, Euan Menzies, Andrew Jeffrey, Mark Bailey, Glyn Powell, John Mortimer, Mark Smith, Debbie Poulter and David Kemp.

I know that all of them would be happy to receive ‘post-race’ sponsorship! (follow this link to the Justgiving website and pick a runner ). The sponsorship monies are still coming in but the indications are that they have collectively raised around £12,000 – a simply stunning achievement that will make a very real difference to the service we can provide to those who seek the help of Off The Fence.
