Schools & Youth

Off The Fence lunch clubs are attended by a cross section of the school community – including many with no church background. We aim to offer students a safe, fun place to go where they can learn more about the Christian faith. One girl commented on the club she attends:

“It’s epic and fun, you have snacks and you learn about Jesus”

Alongside lunch clubs we run a series of lessons for year 8 students helping them think through relationships by looking at topics such as respect, family, identity and humour. Currently we are running these lessons in Blatchington Mill School. The lessons are well received by staff and students. One staff member commented:

“I am full of praise for the wonderful help and support you have given our students and I know it has really helped them. Thank you.”

Most of the work we do is aimed at secondary schools; however we have also successfully launched a new lunch time club in a local primary school. ‘Explore’ offers a mixture of creative activities, games and Bible stories.
